Casey Molino Dunn is an education and business leader who collaborates with artists and institutions to elevate their impact.
His background as an administrator, educator, performer, producer, and publicist informs his approach.
Recently, as the Vice President for Innovation and Program Development at Music Academy of the West, Casey played a pivotal role in expanding year-round career-advancing initiatives, including the Alumni Enterprise Awards, Fast Pitch Competition, and leading entrepreneurial seminars. This position built on his leadership and adaptability co-directing the Academy’s Remote Learning Institute during the COVID pandemic.
Before relocating to Santa Barbara, California, Casey led Manhattan School of Music’s Center for Music Entrepreneurship, where, for many years, he taught as part of the collegiate faculty. His courses focused on equipping musicians with the skills needed to be the CEO of their careers. At Manhattan School of Music, his portfolio also included coaching entrepreneurial projects, producing professional development workshops, and managing the Center’s career services and community endeavors.
Casey previously held related positions at Eastman and Juilliard schools, plus Hunter College. In recent years, he has been a guest lecturer in career classes at the Eastman School of Music and the University of Missouri-Kansas City, as well as for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Civic Fellows. His work in the field has been highlighted in Billboard, Forbes, Opera News, and Musical America.
Formerly a music publicist, he secured significant media coverage and produced special events for artists at all stages of their careers, including André Previn and pianist Simone Dinnerstein. For nine years, he volunteered as a career advisor at Chamber Music America’s annual conference. His service to the field also includes key roles with the Network of Music Career Development Officers and the Society for Arts Entrepreneurship Education.
Active as a baritone vocalist and actor, Casey’s performances range from Papageno in Mozart’s The Magic Flute in New Hampshire to Sondheim’s Passion in Miami. He is a former chorister with the New York City Opera and was an ensemble member for the New York City premiere of Andrew Lippa’s theatrical oratorio I Am Harvey Milk. A keyboardist, he has played community performances for the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s pops series and the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey. Also in the Garden State, he has led robust church music programs and developed multi-genre concert series.
Casey graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with bachelor's degrees in music and communications. He holds a Master of Music degree and Arts Leadership certificate from the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music.
